H-1C Visa Registered Nurses:

The H-1C visa program expired as of December 21, 2009. Employers must consider alternative options in order to hire foreign nurses. Other options include TN visas, in cases where the registered nurse is either Canadian or Mexican, or H-1B visas in cases where the nurse has obtained a bachelors degree or where the nurse's position required 4 uears of post-secondary school education. Nurses that are likely to be qualified under the H-1B program include nurse anesthetists, critical care nurses, nurse managers, administrators, or supervisors, nurse specialists, and nurse practitioners.
